“Not enough data” for calories during exercise on Charge 3

ANSWERED

I used to get report of calories burned during exercise. One time even a minute by minute read. Usually just a block total. However, recently I get a message saying not enough data. But I do get a heart rate throughout.

Am I doing something wrong?

This happened to myself and my dad (both Charge 3 users). No troubleshooting measures have worked to fix it. I’m hoping it’s a temporary glitch.

Welcome on board @Dshall, it's nice to see you around! I'd recommend doing the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the app
  • Restart your tracker
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app

Thanks for letting me know you were getting a heart rate throughout. However, I'd recommend taking a look at: How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?

Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

The past three workout sessions have not been noted by my Alta HR. I get the “-null “ thing in the calories burned and No Data Available. I’ve restarted it, logged out of my iPad app. Nothing is working. All the other things, steps counted, heart rate, etc, are working.

No amount of restarting the app logging in or out turning Bluetooth on or off etc.  Ad Nauseam etc makes any difference . This all started when the app updated recently. It’s unacceptable especially when you count on knowing how long you have exercised in a particular zone. I logged exercise this morning for 1 1/2 hours. It said six yes 6 minutes of fat burning. No other data logged. When you look at the heart rate graph it’s clearly showing elevated heart rate in various zones throughout the workout. Thus the mystery data IS there the app is just not allocating it correctly to the Exercise log.  Before the app update it worked fine

I’m having the same issue and have also tried the troubleshooting to no avail. I’d really like to hear the fix to this. I get my heart rate and the gps tracks, but it shows zero stats for steps, distance and calories.

After I finish an exercise it says Loading Activity Stats and then -null with no data except GPS track. I have an AltaHR and hopefully won’t be forced to upgrade to a newer tracker.

I’ve having the same issue; it just started with today’s workout (worked fine last week). I did the recommended steps multiple times with no luck. Please advise next steps!

Well, after the time change, I worked out. Now there’s not enough data for my heart rate or calories burned. However, I did get a read on Time in Heart Rate Zones. I know my Alta HR is an old version, maybe it’s dropped off the spectrum.

Logging out and rebooting everything worked once but did not adjust anything else. Heart rate data in the main heart area is saving but not for individual exercises. So i am getting “no data” and zero calories burned when I manually log or use the charge to log workout. Totals show up on the main dash but something seems off for individual logging.
