Not tracking my running although I connect with run can’t finish as just keeps showing dnd and sleep

I have had for 11 months having had a charge two so easy to track running. Not although I can get on run start can’t then finish just shows dnd and sleep screen several friends have looked at and can’t understand why. If I set off on run I can’t get it to end and end up switching off so frustrating as trying to log activity is now a nightmare
