My charge 3 starts tracking my sleep but if I get up to go to the bathroom and go immediately back to bed it stops tracking. Even if I sleep for another 4 hours

Eversince I got my C3 in December. I had 3 issues & 2 of these are sleep tracking related. The other was Steps not syncing to phone. The first time I had sleep tracking issue. I did everything that is in the book. Reboot device & phone. Turn Bluetooth on & off. Unpaired & paired device. That’s about it as fas I can recall. It worked until the Steps syncing issue. I did a Master reset & it worked. I had posted this Steps syncing issue in the forum last week. This morning I noticed that Sleep tracking not working. Funny part was whenever I review my info in the device. It says that Sleep is not tracked but it did when you synced with phone. This time is for real. It didn’t track this morning. When it was working it can even track if I had less than 3 hours of sleep. I haven’t decided what to do yet before I hit the bed. To do another Master reset or just a Reboot. Cheers mate!

I rebooted but what’s a Master reset?

Does it work after the Reboot? Actually is “Clear User Data” the one before Reboot in the Setting - About - Scroll down to the second last column. You have to start from scratch like a new device if you do that. Thank you.

My Charge 3 stopped showing sleep tracking on Wednesday so it has been 3 days. This is the main reason I bought this. I've read all the help articles and found them useless. Do these techs ever actually use one of these? I did not receive a book so I'm assuming you mean the articles on the website? My fitapp on my Samsung says it hasn't synced since Thursday, but it is showing my steps. Does that make any sense? I'm feeling pretty frustrated and pissed off. It hasn't run smoothly since I bought it in January and it is taking way too much time. I'm trying the reset but if it doesn't start working I want to just send it back.

Yup meaning articles on website. I’m giving mine another go tonight failing which I’m swapping to my Versa again. Sleep tracking is not my priority & I find that Step tracking & Heart rate are more accurate than Sleep tracking. You wouldn’t feel good if you know the device is not working 100%. I also notice that it seems to give me more issues as time goes by. Versa is the opposite. The thing I like about the C3 is the batt life, simple to use, minimalist design, compact & light weight. Thank you.

It wasn’t tracking sleep at all at first. One article said to reboot. I did that and it got me to where I am now... tracking but only til I get up to go to the bathroom

It has been posted some where in this forum too. When it works Sleep track only kicks in something like 3 hours after you have hit the bed. Another reason while I have my doubt over its accuracy.

The same thing is happening to me all of a sudden this week. Did you ever find a fix?

Yes, and I never came back to thank the guy that posted the fix. Go to "settings", "about", then you want to "Clear user data" and "reboot". It seems to need both to get back on track. I've been keeping track for now in a book too and the overall time seems pretty accurate.

I am not finding the ‘about’ option in settings. Could it be somewhere else? I just bought the fit bit and the sleep portion stops working if I get up to use the bathroom. Thanks!

I don't have the "about" either. Does anyone have any other suggestions to make this work all night? Thanks!
