Not working – already tried Restart, can't figure out Factory reset

My Charge 2 has mostly stopped working. Nothing shows up when I tap the screen or press the button. I can plug it in for recharging and get the battery full icon. I can do a restart (multiple times) and get the Fitbit diamond icon. Then I get nothing. The first day it happened, I was able to go into the app and synchronize all my data. However, since then, I get 0 steps when it synchronizes. (but the synch process seems to be working and it can see a full charge on the HR).

 

I saw instructions for a factory reset https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1606

 

Press and hold the button for approximately two seconds and without letting go of the button:

  • Remove the charging cable from your tracker.
  • Wait about seven to nine more seconds after removing the charging cable.

But I don’t understand because it’s impossible with the clamp style charger that goes over the button to continue holding down the button while at the same time removing the charger.

@Haber Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't working and thank you for restarting it. There isn't a Factory reset procedure for the Charge 2. The article you mentioned is for a Charge and Charge HR device. Since the device isn't responding then please let our Support team know so they can further assist you. You will get an email from them.
