It worked fine last night, but when I woke up this morning it was a black screen. I bought this from you in December 2016, and don't have the paperwork anymore. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

How long (approximately) did you have your for before it started to act up like that?
Mine just stopped showing the time/display on the watch itself. It wont reset. I'm able to look at my activity on my app still thankfully.

Hi , can you help. My fitbit charge 2 was working fine. I reconnected with my phone as I hadnt used it for a while. I went to update the software and the screen went black. I've tried doing the restart on the charger that I've seen. It's not picking anything up at all, it's not showing its charging when I plug in and cant update the software as it's not picking up the fitbit. Any suggestions?

Ok yea. So mine lastest 1.5 years. Thanks for letting me know... It seems that they don't last too long and it wasn't just something that I did. I also picked out a new activity tracker. There's no point of spending like 150 bux on something that will last under 2 years.

I've done all the suggested fixes but to no avail. The problem is that the screen is completely black. When I plug it in to the computer, nothing happens and if I hold the button for the suggested 10-12 seconds, all I get is a small vibration, and then nothing.... The green lights on the back are on.
Should I accept that my Fitbit is busted? Or are there other fixes that actually work? Thanks!

Yeah I had the same problem. It’s started off with the screen become pixilated with black lines running through it. Tried all the usual resetting with no avail. Contacted the help desk who advised me to try the reset again with no avail. Was then told that there was nothing else that could be done and they offered a 25% discount on another brand new Fitbit. NO THANKS, my Fitbit was just over 3 years old when it packed in. I won’t be purchasing another Fitbit device if I’m only gonna get just over years out of it 😡😡😡

My husband has a charge 3 and had to contact support a while ago as it was a black screen tried everything they said no success Not even two years old in the end we gave up. This appears to be a regular thing I paid £150 for this for my husbands birthday what a waste to throw money away on something that lasts only or nearly two years won’t but again

Did you figure out the issue in the end? I'm on my 3rd fitbit (2nd replacement), and they're all gone bad after a year or two. The first two got bricked by Fitbit's own update when they released a new watch. I'm thinking that they're doing the same thing again - perhaps to try and get customers to buy the new models.
Won't be buying a Fitbit if there isn't a good enough explanation for this... 3 watch failures in 3 years is shambles.

Mine has met the same fate after 4 years. I love this tracker! Like losing an old friend 😞

My charge 2 has a black screen. Syncs with the smartphone but the screen goes black. I tried all the restart procedures and it doesn't work. Unfortunately I did not attend fitbit anymore.

I have exactly the same problem. I love it, but with a black screen it is less useful. I cannot afford a new one are there any options?

Hello everyone. @gordonl It's nice to see you around.
Thank you very much for the information and for loving your Fitbit device. If you haven't done so, I'd recommend visiting this thread that contains tips and suggestions on how to resolve screen inconveniences.
On a side note, I'd like to let you know that this thread is now closed and if you have any other questions or inquiries, please post them in a new thread for your Charge 3.
