Notifications are ON, but Charge 2 doesn't vibrate

I loved how on my original Charge HR it would vibrate when I hit my goals or if I received a text or phone call.  My new Charge 2 does not do that.  Is there a setting that I just don't have set right perhaps? Help!!

Hello @SharletteS you say that the notifications show but no vibration.

Let's try a restart, ok let's nap it 3 restarts in a row. Put the tracker into its powered up charger and hold in the button unroll you see the Fitbit logo.

I was having the same issues.  My Charge 2 wouldn't vibrate for notifications.  After rebooting it, it was able to do silent alarms, but no notifications like reminder to move or goals reached.  I then worked with Fitbit support on the issue, and they couldn't figure it out either (everything was set correctly).  Seeing I had only owned it for a few days, I took it back to the store and exchanged it.  Poof, after charging and syncing the new one, it worked perfectly.

If all your settings are correct, if you just bought it, return it and get another.  If it is beyond that time window, work with support and get it replaced.  It is a defect that should be fixed, but getting a working one is what it takes to get it working.

@Rich_Laue Hi, I have connected my FitBit to Samsung S8 and I do get vibration whenever any text comes or if there is any notification in the Samsung calendar app.

but the intensity of vibration is low and it is easy to miss that if not paying attention or busy in other tasks.

Can I increase the intensity of vibration?

Hi,

Unfortunately, you can not!

Make sure Notifications is on, on the fitbit itself. I had the same problem, followed all the instructions, but turning notifications on from your cell phone, does not automatically turn it on, on the fitbit device. Scroll through the fitbit display screens, until you get to notifications, if you see the backwards slash & it says off, then your notifications setup is not complete. Press the button twice or hold it down until it turns on. You can send yourself a test. Hope this does it for you.

Unfortunately mind is more than a year old, but the vibrate never worked.

I have followed every step over and over, 2-3 times a week for the past month without success.

Needed now because more people are texting me and I cannot always watch the face all of the time to see when things come through.

Very disappointed.

Hey @lonnyb12, I hope you are doin' fine! Thanks for trying a couple of tips to make your Charge 2 vibrates when you get notifications. Let me ask you this, what phone are you using with your tracker, is it a compatible device? If so, please try some other troubleshooting stated in this help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone?

@Horsesterry, is it your Charge 2 working fine now?

Let me know how it goes!

Have done all this, incliuding blue tooth off and on. Been working on this
for weeks with ALL of what everyone has suggested. Just one of those folks
who are out of luck.

Article talks about notifications not being received but I am receiving them
- just not vibrating.

Device is iPhone 10

Figured my issue. In quick settings had sleep mode on. Turned that off then the silent notifications changed to vibrating alerts
