Notifications are not coming through my Charge 4

For the past month I keep getting warnings that my phone needs to do a reset to low notifications to work. I ha e done this so many times and nothing helps. I have done online chats and even phone calls. There is nothing that I haven't don't to try to correct this. My phone is still under guarantee as it wasn't activated until February this year but fitbit are doing nothing to rectify this. I work in a school and cannot have my phone with me. I purchased this fitbit for the notifications part as I need this for updates on how my seriously ill father is and if I need to leave to see him. This doesn't seem to have made any difference to the people at fitbit and I just keep getting fobbed off all the time. I really am upset about this, I spent a lot of money on a tracker that doesn't even forfil its basic job and has lasted less than a year. This is shocking!

Hi there, @moaninmin. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

Please note if you're getting this error message “Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker”, please note that we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

If the error message you receive is different I'd like to know what it says. Meanwhile, make sure you've followed these steps: Why are notifications delayed or missing?

If you have a Huawei, you can also try:

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app > Apps and notifications > Apps.
  2. Tap Fitbit > Battery.
  3. Turn off the Power-intensive prompt option.
  4. Tap Launch.
  5. Turn off the Manage automatically option, and turn on the Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options.
  6. Tap OK.

Note that you may see a message on your phone related to power consumption and apps scanning in the background. If you follow the steps in this message, the Fitbit app can’t run in the background and certain features may not work properly. Repeat the steps above to enable the Fitbit app to run in the background.

Hope that helps.
