I only show the sender come through on my Fitbit when receiving a text message and not the scrolling of the actual content of the message. I have this selected also. I've restarted and nothing works. Please fix this bug.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 notifications and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. As @SunsetRunner mentioned you can check if you are using a compatible device although non listed devices just show that they haven't been tested yet. Still this could be an app permission issue. You can try the following:

I’m also experiencing the same issue today...I only see who sent me a text and not the message itself....I’ve tried everything....there needs to be a solution.

I too am experiencing the exact same thing. I've tries to all and nothing is working. I hooked it up to my husband's phone Galaxy S10 exact same phone as me and it works on his. This tells me it's my phone but why? I've checked settings and everything and still nothing. It work just a few days ago and now nothing..... super annoying someone please help!

This recently started happening with me. I have been able to preview messages all along, but now just showing the name. I tried all the suggested troubleshooting and can’t figure it out.

I was on a live chat with Fitbit last night...they had me try many, many things and no change. The person told me they had to look further into the issue and they’d eventually get back to me. There was a recent Fitbit update in software on 6/27....I’m hoping it’s a glitch in the update.

This is driving me crazy. I dont always have my phone on me and liked that I could see if I need to respond to a text or not;) now it just says who's messaging me and then I have to find my phone to see if I want to respond.
Also my husband has a blaze and same thing happened when I paired it to my phone. Annoying

Yes, it is very frustrating as I also need to see the preview to know if it is something that needs to be answered right away. It just stopped working all of a sudden. Hopefully, it's a glitch in the update and can be fixed.

I'm having the same issue on my fitbit charge 2.
Everything was working perfectly then just stopped all of a sudden.

I just spoke to customer service...they have no answers...they gave me the option to have a free replacement of my Charge 2 or 50% off a new/different model. There is no guarantee that I won’t experience the same issue with a replacement but that is what I went with...not going to spend more money when my charge 2 is only a year old.

Same! And only since the recent app update a couple days ago
I'm sure a new Fitbit wont make a difference. They probably want us all to upgrade to charge 3 😞

I agree! I don’t think a new one will help and I told them about the most recent firmware update and that the issue seems to have started after that. My other option was to get 50% off another product but I didn’t want to spend more money with Fitbit if they can’t fix this issue. I’ll be looking at buying a Garmin or Samsung watch in the future. I bought the charge 2 because I like the text notification feature, I’m not allowed to have my phone out during work...this feature at least gave me an idea if I needed to get back to someone soon.
