I only show the sender come through on my Fitbit when receiving a text message and not the scrolling of the actual content of the message. I have this selected also. I've restarted and nothing works. Please fix this bug.

I just realized mine is back to only showing the sender’s name and not the message.
This is very frustrating as this feature was the reason I bought a Fitbit. I was reading people’s comments on Fitbit app...google play....lots of people are experiencing issues....hopefully Fitbit will fix it or they are going to lose customers.

Oh, that is very frustrating especially when you bought a new fitbit! Clearly this is a fitbit issue and not us! But I agree, they need to fix it otherwise they will lose a bunch of customers

I've been having the same issue for a few weeks. Samsung s8+. fitbit charge 2. when I recieve sms messages I get a notification on the fitbit but it only shows the senders name but no message detail. Have also tried unpairing, restarting, uninstalling/reinstalling. Tried different messaging apps and even a different launcher. Permissions revoked and giving back again. The setting within the app selected is show name and message. Tried changing to just name and back again and still doesn't fix. Pulling my hair out now!!

Yep, pretty much have done everything you mentioned. Super frustrating and overall I'm over it. They need to fix it. Half of the time I have to force my fitbit to sync which is frustrating enough.

This is happening to me as well. I have the Nexus 5X, which is on the list of compatible phones. The lack of modern Android phones that are listed as compatible are the reason, I've stuck with this phone. This is very frustrating that it doesn't work and hopefully Fitbit fixes the glitch soon. If not I guess that I'll have to switch to Fossil, Garmin, or Samsung.

Mine had been working with my Galaxy 9 for the past year or so until
recently. Now I discovered a new problem. I just traveled from the east
coast to the west. My settings are to update to time zone changes
automatically. It has been 24 hours and it has not updated 😞

Wife and I both started having these same issues about 3-4 weeks ago. Permissions are all good. We rebooted the phones and fitbits, it still won't display the message...only the sender name.
Tons of people complaining on the fitbit page yet no fix. If I replace my device it's going to be a samsung gear. Tired of screwing around with it.

I am experiencing the same exact problem and have tried everything suggested here and elsewhere.
Its quite annoying and I don't want to get a new tracker. I like my Charge 2 because its simple and basic and all I need.
Please release a fix ASAP Fitbit.

I have been having the same issue for about a week now. I checked my notification permission and SMS was turned off, but turning back on did NOT fix the problem.
Has anyone taken Fitbit's offer to upgrade? I just don't want to buy a new one and then have the same issue.

I am so glad I just found this forum. I was starting to feel a little crazy. I have done every possible fix and still can not see the content of my text messages. It must have been a change with the update. So disappointed.

Yeah, they had an update on July 3rd I believe and ever since that update I've had issues. They need to seriously fix this bug. Its driving all of us crazy

I've been having the same issue for the last week of it only showing the senders name. I've tried everything to get it to work and it still hasn't. Glad to know I'm not the only one who is having this problem!!!

Same issue here. It started before I even updated the app, but that didn't fix the issue either. It's been happening for a few days.
So disappointed.
They must have changed something though - now if I didn't see all the messages and got more than one unread, it doesn't even show the sender of the new one, just says "view messages". That's never happened before... Whatever they changed, I hate it.

Mine has started doing the same this afternoon and I have the galaxy s8.
I've even tried changing the option from "sender and message" to just "sender" and back! I've been sitting here for about a half hour trying to fix it myself
