I only show the sender come through on my Fitbit when receiving a text message and not the scrolling of the actual content of the message. I have this selected also. I've restarted and nothing works. Please fix this bug.

This is still not fixed and this has been going on a long time. I have a Google Pixl 3XL which is compatible and I was receiving the messages with no issues up until about a month ago. Fix this issue!!

So what you're saying is that IF we upgrade to a newer phone we should just throw our fitbits in the trash. You know since our phone are not compatible with the fitbits anymore and upgrading to a new Fitbit wont fit the problem either because several people have already tried that and the Fitbit still doesnt work since their phones not on the list of compatible devices.
Myself along with many others have mentioned that our newer phones were compatible UNTIL Fitbit screwed us all over with this lame update that ONLY caused problems. Tell me this why is it that our Fitbits tell us who's calling or texting just not what's being texted. Not sure if it's just me but that tells me that my phone is in fact still somewhat compatible if it can tell me those things.
I understand that the Fitbit is not really for text, we wear them because we dont carry our phones around 24/7 and its motivation to keep moving but that being said, because I dont carry my phone around 24/7 I'd like to know if theres an emergency text that I need to get to right now and not have to find my phone to figure out what was said. Fitbit needs to fix this problem, I never even did the update it just did it itself so how about Fitbit just undo it so we can get back to normal.

I am still having the same problem and I have a compatible phone. This is almost a month of my notifications not showing properly. I feel like switching devices.

I'm in the same boat. Everything was working fine, Fitbit made a change, and multiple updates later I still don't get the full notification.

I'm having the same issue and I have an Android phone, Moto G 5 plus. My husband has the same phone but he has a Galaxy watch and he hasn't had any issues, so it definitely has to be an issue with the charge 2 or Fitbit software

There was an update a few days ago and it didn't fix the problem. I am still having the same issue where my message is missing and now it's hit and miss if the senders name even shows.

I have a google pixel 2 which is on your supported devices list. I have done all the suggested troubleshooting without success. Hopeful you will have a solution for this soon.

It's been over a month with notification messages being blank. Are they even trying to fix the problem because the updates they rolled out have been useless.

I know you probably already realize this, but it's been well over a month with this issue. I'm losing patience. I missed a very important call/text today because I was in a meeting and couldn't read the actual message. The call didnt even come through on my Fitbit. You guys have had now 3 or 4 updates now and I've had a system update on my phone and nothing has changed. I'm frustrated along with everyone else here. Please fix this!!!!!

A friend of mine just got a new Charge 2 which I setup for her. I sent a test text message and it came up on her Fitbit - what is that all about???
I also started getting the wrong names for who was calling me pop up last week for a few days. This is so annoying.

I couldn't agree more! Very frustrating. You'd think after a month of this going on they would have figured it out by now. I'm looking at the samsung watch now for my next purchase. Not the fitbit anymore. This is absurd

Just popping by to say that I too have been experiencing this issue since early July. I have done all of the troubleshooting, and I have a compatible device (Samsung S8). I rely on text notifications heavily for work as I am unable to have my phone on me at all times but it's always in the same room. For me, notifications stopped working early July. Text notifications are name only, calendar events work fine, phone calls are hit and miss it they work. I did the update in early August thinking it would solve the issue but nothing has changed.
I realize Fitbit is aware of the issue but since this thread was started over two months ago and there are obviously many users still experiencing this problem. It should not take this long for a fix!

Have managed to get it working on mine. Google " download fitbit app 2.95" and download the old a p k file. Do it at your own risk though.

That worked for me too! Thank you, this has been so frustrating! They just need to revert back to an older version. I've had that happen with Netflix after and update, and Netflix was able to provide me with an older version to download. I have disabled my auto update of the Fitbit app for now!
