I only show the sender come through on my Fitbit when receiving a text message and not the scrolling of the actual content of the message. I have this selected also. I've restarted and nothing works. Please fix this bug.

I just recently got new phone
Samsung Galaxy S9+ and to date, I also just get notifications of who the text is from and not the content. The Fitbit app. updated by itself I believe. Went on it and it looked different all of the sudden. When will this text content issue be fixed??

Hello! It's a pleasure to continue providing assistance with this situation, my sincere apologies for the delayed reply.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with this situation, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for each of you. Also, I'm happy to read that this inconvenience was resolved for some of you after some updates were installed.
For the ones who are still experiencing difficulties with notifications only showing the sender's name, please keep your Fitbit app, device and mobile device operating system up to date. We are aware of this situation and working to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services.
If some of you are experiencing difficulties receiving notifications, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Charge 2 are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
Please make sure that your mobile device is compatible because due to a compatibility concern you can experience connection difficulties.
I'll be around. Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have.

So I recently went from
to
I have tried all the troubleshooting steps, disconnected, restarted, etc.
I just was digging around in the Android 10 app permissions and saw that FitBit didn't have SMS permissions. I obviously changed it, but still no luck.
Are there other permissions (maybe changes in Android 10) that I can look at?

Hi @rtbrown560, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!
I appreciate the details that were shared in your post regarding the difficulties you're experiencing with the notifications feature of your Charge 2 device. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using? Also, when did you stopped getting notifications on your device? It was after the Android 10 update? If possible, please send me a screenshot of your Messages app notifications settings so I can verify that everything is correctly configured. You can refer to this post to do so.
Looking forward to your reply, let me know if you have any additional questions.

Device: Pixel 3
I believe I stopped getting notifications before the update, but they've been messed up for so many months that I've stopped paying attention to them and I am not sure when it was.

Now mine won't notify me for anything at all. All the settings are correct. The test call won't work either.
I had installed that older version and it was working, though it was still giving me the wrong caller ID. Then I finally caved and did the firmware update. I tested it out and I was receiving phone calls and text messages with the message! Hurray!
One day later, it's a completely dead system again and I'm receiving nothing whatsoever. I'm getting pretty fed up with this thing. I've changed nothing!

I'm getting this same thing.
I'm on a Pixel 2XL on Android 10 and all the software and firmware, etc are updated to most recent.
Calls come through as notifications, although it's the wrong phone number/name being displayed.
I do not get text messages at all - I have notifications on and messages are set to display sender and message. At first I was only getting the name of the sender and not the message, but now neither come over. I did get some system generated text messages that popped up but oddly that was it. Again, no text included.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software on my phone. I've unpaired and re-paired the Fitbit. I've gone through a laundry list of items I have read on the community pages as well to no avail.
I keep seeing they have a fix "in progress" but why aren't all phones not working while some are working?
Any other suggestions to try or do I need to keep waiting on this pending fix? These issues are pushing me away from supporting this company in the future and likely this Charge 2 will be my last Fitbit product.

"For the ones who are still experiencing difficulties with notifications only showing the sender's name, please keep your Fitbit app, device and mobile device operating system up to date. "
Please explain to us why this new app was rolled out with so many problems? I am sure there is an answer somewhere? Its like putting out a defective car? Who would do that?

@RicardoFitbit
Any news on this?
I responded to your questions a while ago and haven't heard anything on my configuration or on this bug.
It's getting really old not having this feature work AT ALL.

I'm just entering this forum again to state that my Charge 2 still does not get notifications of any kind. I've been given the run around by support that they're still trying to figure it out but that just leads to nowhere over and over again and I'm so tired of waiting. I'm sure everyone here has given up and gotten new products by now. I'm still holding out hope since it's still a fine device.
