OG Charge won't turn on

I received an OG Charge as a gift - I plugged it in using the cord that came with it and a wall charger. However, even after a day on the charger (it wouldn't turn on at all), it now only displays the battery symbol as full unless I hold the side button then it shows a battery icon with an exclamation in it.

Contacts are clean. Person I got it from used it once then put it away. So unsure how long it has been since fully charged and turned on.

It is the same with the One device she also gave me. It displays the fitbit 64.1 or whatever and then fully battery but does not actually turn on at all. I've tried everything I can think of or read to make them work.

Hello @jdoak7 and welcome to the Community.  Just to clarify, the original Charge is a wrist tracker that doesn't have a heart rate monitor on it.  The Charge and the One are both very old devices.  The Charge was discontinued in 2015 and the One was discontinued in 2017.  Rechargeable batteries have a lifespan and will degrade over time, even in storage.  They have dead batteries.
