One Green light and not keeping a charge Fitbit Charge2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I notice three nights ago that my Charge 2 wasn't tracking my sleep. I thought perhaps I just  didn't have the band on correctly.   I charge my Fitbit everyday after my run while I am showering.   Today it died on my run.  I placed it in the charger and left it all afternoon.  When I return the graph showed full charge.  When I took it out of the charger only one green light was on and it was brighter than usual.  I didn't think too much of it and put the fitbit on and went to the gym.  It died within a half hour. I wasn't even at the gym yet.   It won't keep a charge.  Only one light is one.  I tried holding the reset button three times in the charger as per a thread on this board.  It didn't solve the problem.  Help.

@billtkd It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your heart rate sensor and battery life on your Charge 2 and thank you for restarting your device. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can also find additional suggestions here

For the heart rate turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

One small problem is that it goes from fully charged to no charge in less
than five minutes when not in the charging area. I tried cleaning it before
I tried anything else from a video posted on this forum. It seemed to have
no effect. One green light stayed on until it ran out of power.

I have the same problem, heart rate monitor stopped working on Saturday and by Monday it would go from fully charged to dead in under 2 hours.  I tried every tip I could find in this forum without success.  It seems very unlikely that so many of us are having the same problem at the same time.  Hopefully there will be a fix that doesn’t require the purchase of a new Fitbit

Now I get this light as I try to charge. It appears to have an exclamation mark in the middle.  It won’t sync even when fully charged

I have two green lights.  As soon as charged and wear it for a while it has no charge.  I restarted it but is the same.
