Out of Warranty - Consumer Rights

Hi All,

My Charge 3 has stopped working this morning - it won't power and doesn't react when I plug it in.  I have been through the troubleshooting with the online chat and they agree that it isn't working.

My device is out of warranty but only just.  I don't think that 2.5 years is an acceptable amount of time for this device to be working for and the Consumer Rights Act agrees with me.  Could someone from Fitbit please get in contact with me asap to discuss - it seems the folks on your telephone line and the online chat are unable to discuss this and although very helpful and apologetic that isn't getting me anywhere.

Thanks

Cyd

@Cyd99 - This is a community forum which means we are all simply other Fitbit users. I’m not surprised that Support was unable to discuss this. They do not have the power to change the warranty which is legally in place and standard for electronic devices in the US. Even if you had purchased the extended warranty, it would not have covered a 2.5 year old device. The only thing I can suggest is that you post your idea of extending the standard warranty to the Feature Suggestion forum.

Thanks Carol - I am in the UK and we have laws that protect us for products not working for a reasonable amount of time. The Consumer Rights Act goes above the Company provided warranty, so whether the product is out of warranty or not it doesn't matter. I was actually trying to make a complaint but this was the only forum the call centre and the chat could give me - do you know anyway I can lodge a complaint with the company?

Many thanks
