Did you mean:

Over estimating calories because of heart rate.

One of the main functions of this watch is not even working.

Ever since getting my charge 2 I am somehow consistently burning more calories because whatever algorithm you’re using for calories and taking into account heart rate is not working.

Some people have higher than average heart rates, doesn’t mean burning more calories.

Why is this not looked at?!

Many have complained.

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Caloric burn is usually linked with your heart rate so at higher heart rate you will burn more calories. Still if you wish to have the option to have them not linked you can share your suggestion in our Feature suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exist so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes!

That is not good enough. It is NOT a feature suggestion. It is a feature that is NOT working. I have done nothing at all today besides from a 15 minute walk and it states I have burnt 2900kcal. That is wrong. And it is unacceptable. A higher heart rate could be for many reasons besides burning calories. You product is NOT working. It is faulty. It is not serving it’s purpose. I didn’t pay £90 for a device that estimates calories burnt but makes huge mistakes which are far out. No wonder I didn’t lose weight this week. I know exactly what I’m talking about. This product is not working! Would you buy a bike with one wheel and then send the seller a feature suggestion to not remove one wheel?

Get it sorted!

I will be getting another product.

And why should I be doing all the work just to make something work that I payed for?!

It is completely faulty.

Check that your weight is entered correctly - that is a big factor in calories burned.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

It is. Their algorithms are incorrect when taking into account heart rate. This issue needs to be addressed but they do not care because they’re still making money.

I agree! People have been complaining about over estimating calories since 2014! on the forum. They dont care it seems. I think we users should be able to adjust the calorie burn in some sort of settings to adjust for the faulty algorithm.
