Did you mean:

Pace length seems to be really out.

I went for a walk today, and the distance reads 3.98 km. I know it's more than that.
However, my fit bit says I have a pace of 12' 43".
My pace is more like 26".
Or, am I reading it wrong, and it is time taken to do a kilometre, which still doesn't work out right?

You're right in that the format nn' nn" can mean either time or distance. For fitbit, pace is measured in time. Could it be that it's the time for a mile?

Thanks Steve.
I thought the measurement would be in kilometres, but after converting from miles, the distance would be a better approximate of the distance walked.
Thanks for your reply. I'd say you got it in one.
