I've had my Charge 4 for just over a year and the plastic piece that connects the fitbit device to the band broke off into multiple pieces today just from taking a sweater sleeve off my wrist. Are replacement parts available? The plastic knobs securing the connector broke off so I don't know if it's fixable, but it's certainly upsetting to have a broken device after only a year when I've taken very good care of it.

I was going to buy a Charge 5, but none of the reports tell if they have this same problem.
Considering Fitbit released such a problem prone product--more than one, actually, with this same cheap plastic connector that frequently breaks--I don't feel I can trust their prodcts any more. Time to try a different brand!

I have my Fitbit 4 since October 2021 and the plastic clip that hold the buckle strap has broken away on one side this causes the buckle strap to detach constantly. I am not too happy with the situation as I got this as a birthday present and I don’t want to complain to the person who gave it to me.

Yeah microscopic springs gone too. No replacement parts for sale. Received a discount code to buy another product that will likely fall apart as well. Tons of people with the same problem.

Look up goseth band on amazon. It has a pocket that your tracker goes in. That said we shouldn't have to buy something to use our broken fitbit. I hope fitbit realizes they will be losing customers. I will not buy another fitbit after this disaster of a tracker

Good Afternoon,vI had the same problem. I love this watch, however, I am really disappointed with the broken band. My watch should have lasted, for what they cost. I believe Fitbit should replace it.

I’ve had my Charge 4 for just 8 months. The pieces that hold the band broke on mine too. I have e-mailed 2 different e-mails to the Fitbit support team because the support person said that I needed to give them more information asking for information that I had already given them. Both replies came back that they no longer support e-mails. This doesn’t bode well for their company if they don’t stand behind their product. I take very good care of mine as well.

Same boat! Mine didn't break off, but it's too loose to hold a strap anymore. Fell off while rolling around in my sleep... My warranty expired less than five weeks ago and I am beyond pissed. I was emailed a discount code that I have to use in 24-hours instead of anyone trying to help me. Why would I spend any of my own money to buy a product that breaks just after warranty?
----------
At least you're in the warranty period! I missed mine by a few weeks...
----------
Thank you! A useful suggestion.

Look up goseth charge 4 tracker band on amazon. There's a pocket the tracker fits in so you can continue using it.

@abbyrhode Thank you for your reply.
I'm sorry to see that you experienced the same inconvenience with your Charge 4. It is particularly difficult when the device is no longer covered by the warranty, but even tough Support is eager to help with any problem you may experience with the product, they need to adhere to the official warranty policy, this would start counting from the original date of purchase.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback; comments from users are always useful to continue to improving the quality of products and services.
See you around.

Hi,
Plastic connector broke off my Charge 4 yesterday. Found my receipt, I purchased it in July 2020. Just broke off when I was changing my sweater!! Would have been very easily lost if this happened outside. Is there any resolution to this please? I reside in Rep of Ireland. TIA

Hi, I thought the warranty was for a year plus a 30 day grace period. So if your first call to them was during that time they should honor the warranty. I’d talk with them again, no harm in trying. Good luck!

Thank you. I found a band on Amazon and it will hopefully be delivered tomorrow, so I'll still be able to use my tracker in the short term. In the long term, it looks like I'll be switching brands to a better product with better customer service. I don't care what the "warranty period" is, if you have this many people having the exact same problem with a product, the company should do a general recall and stand by the product. I have NEVER replaced my band and NEVER fiddled with the band, so it certainly couldn't be said that anything I did caused the plastic parts to break. I'm guessing this is true for most people. There shouldn't be this much trouble with general wear and tear for wearing a product. I don't even swim with mine or wear it in the shower.
