Password reset email says sent but never arrives

I was suddenly booted out of my app on Saturday and have been trying to log back in ever since.

 

I put my user name (email) and password and I get a message "invalid email or password"

 

I have updated my phone with latest software (OS) and removed and reinstalled the app a number of times but I still get the same.

 

I did have issues logging into the computer account as I kept getting the same message as above and had to go through Facebook eventually. It confirms my email address is correct.

 

At the moment my only alternative is to create a new account with a new email address but I do not want to lose my history

 

Please help
