My phone isn't listed as one of the compatible phones. I have been having trouble getting the heart rate to sync and suspect that is why. Does that mean I just can't use the heart rate tracking function? Because that's why I bought the charge hr

Hi I have a Samsung galaxy A5 which is not on the compatible list. I can't get my fitbit charge 2 to receive any notifications. Very disappointed as didn't realise A5 was not compatible to receive notifications which is why I bought it. Any suggestions to get notifications working or is this not possible at all. Thx

My phone won't sync anything at all it only does when you first connect it, and even just initially connecting it takes forever

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

Please note that many Android phones, have all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but are currently not on our list of supported devicesThis means that we have not tested it for compatibility and added it to the list yet. For the time being, we don't have an specific date or time-frame of when is going they will be listed as compatible.

While these devices has all the specifications to be compatible and are currently working with the Fitbit app, it's possible to come across some issues along the way. I appreciate your understanding while we work to improve this experience.

@Danyloo, I've noticed you didn't mentioned which mobile device are you currently using with your Fitbit tracker. Is it listed under our compatibility list? If so, please let me know. Additionally, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Is anything being done to include these phones? For example, a Droid Moto Z Force? I see iPhones are all quite compatible.

Hello @AndroidUser125, thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Please note that Fitbit is compatible with more than 200 of the most popular Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices. The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found here.

If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.

Thanks for your understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi,

I'm using a Vivo V9 and it's not on the compatible devices list, how do I sync my phone so that I can get call and text notifications on my fitbit?

Hoping for a helpful reply...

All you can do is just try. First turn off the phones battery saver and optimisation and hopefully it may by chance communicate with your Fitbit. Other members may have more info but try that.

Hello @AK1688, thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you around @pf2303 and @longman928Smiley Happy

@pf2303 and @longman928, I appreciate you have expressed your feedback, I understand your concern about this situation. Please note that our team is continuously working towards adding new devices to the compatibility list.

@AK1688, as mentioned earlier, a majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with a Fitbit device, I would like to suggest you to check the following so your phone can receive Notifications but please note that we do not guarantee they will work flawlessly:

  • Your phone was too far away. It must be within 30 feet of your Fitbit device to transmit the notification.
  • You changed a related setting on your phone, such as turning on Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode. To double check all requirements, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
  • There's another Bluetooth device causing interference.
  • The connection between your phone and Fitbit device is unstable. Bluetooth signals are susceptible to disconnecting or dropping occasionally. If you have an Android phone, check the following:
    • Make sure Enable Notification Widget is on. You can find this with the other notification settings in the Fitbit app.
    • Make sure Always Connected is on. This improves your Bluetooth connection but also drains your Fitbit device's battery more quickly. Turn it off and on as you prefer.
    • Make sure the Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background on your phone. For more information, see Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?
  • The app that should send the notification can't do so. Check all the phone and Fitbit app requirements in How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
  • Your device was syncing. Syncing can sometimes prevent or delay a notification.
  • You just updated the Fitbit app. Restart your phone and try setting up notifications again.
  • Device lock is active on your Fitbit watch and you haven't recently entered your PIN. Tap your watch screen to see if the device lock prompt appears. If it does, enter your PIN.

If you've reviewed the list above and can't get notifications to work, try the following tasks.

  1. Force-quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Sync your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone for 15 seconds, then turn it back on
  4. Restart your device.
  5. Refresh Notifications.
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap Account > Your tracker/watch
    2. Tap Notifications.
    3. Turn off all notifications
    4. Restart your phone.
    5. Open the Fitbit app and turn notifications back on.

If you have tried all of these steps and your tracker is still not receiving Notification, please try setting up Notifications again.

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker/watch is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
