Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel 8 Pro broken, data does not reset half of the time

This is very frustrating.  About 1/2 the time the data (steps, distance etc) are not reset in the morning.  Despite several chats with Google and then Fitbit support they have no solution.  They admit this is a problem.  I have spent several hours in chats going through different reset options.  Sometimes I can factory reset watch and manually delete data in fitbit app and it resets watch.  Other times I do the exact same thing but the data comes back.  Sometimes they are both reset in the morning.  Firmware updates are on,  I have re-installed app on phone.  It is just really not usable as is and I see not fix coming.  I cannot believe since Google owns fitbit somethng as basic as resetting data at midnite does not work.  My husbands Garmin 265 is flawless and considering a change since Google/Fitbit does not seem to acknowledge the problem and plan a fix.  The fact that only Charge devices are in selection tab for a label says it all,  no pixel watch 2 even listed as option
