I have had my Fitbit Charge 4 for not quite 2 years and while on vacation the plastic band connecter broke. I was luckily wearing a long sleeve jacket and the Fitbit was just floating in sleeve and not lost. I have contacted support and went through my problem and asked for some type of help with replacement or purchase of part and still waiting to hear back from them. This is very disappointing because I really liked my Fitbit but I may have to start shopping for a similar product somewhere else. I hope to hear soon because in my opinion this should not just break from normal none abusive use. 😒

Today, I discovered a significant crack in my Charge 4 wristband, and I definitely would be at risk of losing my Fitbit when it breaks. A call to Fitbit support produced a sympathetic response, but as it has been 1 year and a month since I registered the product, I was informed it is now outside of the warranty period and the purchase of a replacemenet band is the only solution offered. I too am disappointed in the service life of the band, particularly as I am a moderately active senior with activities consisting primarily of walking, stairs, and the occasional game of golf. I use no skin lotions, avoid contact with harsh chemicals and do not do anything that puts me, or my Charge 4, in extreme environments. That said, I would have thought that should place my Charge 4 and its accessories at the longer end of the life expectancy spectrum.
I was researching fitness trackers at the time I was presented this Fitbit as a gift. While I've been reasonably pleased with its performance thus far, its quality and longevity have me thinking again about where to look for its eventual replacement.

Hello @NanaJean2 and @RAKCanada
I can’t assist with your ongoing discussions with Fitbit Support but I thought I’d mention a band you both might be interested in. You can even use it if the connection to your current Fitbit has broken. Look here to see details: https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Climbing-Extreme-Replacement-Fitbit/dp/B07N2J33BY/ref=sr_1_4?crid=LQT...
😉 Maybe this might help in someway. Especially if the Fitbit tracker itself is fine and you still want to use the actual tracker. Let me know what you think.

😃 Your very welcome @NanaJean2! I hope it works out for you. It certainly is cheaper then buying a new watch.

My Fitbit Charge 4 plastic connecter just broke yesterday. I have had my Charge 4- probably one year and one day or so-enough to be told it is off warranty. I really like my Charge 4 and didn't wish for a new one. However, Fitbit says they will give me a discount that will be available in 24 hours. (it doesn't include shipping nor can it be used with other discounts so I'm not sure if the discount is off their highest retail price or what. My only complaint about my Fitbit Charge 4 is that I can't read the screen outside & the print is too small to read without really good glasses-thus I never use it to start a workout, ect. I agree that this Fitbit should not break from normal non-abusive use.
