Please tell me you can set alarms on the Fitbit charge 3 device itself?

I just purchased and received a new Fitbit charge 3. I already have a Fitbit blaze which I really like however the band is not sturdy. It has partially torn off on one side connecting to the base and I’ve had to super glue it back together several different times so I figured I was due for a new Fitbit device. I purchased the charge 3 on QVC because they said it was the newest and best model & I read an article rating the top Fitbit devices for 2020 and it had the charge 3 rated #1. Please tell me it isn’t true that you can’t actually set alarms on the device itself on the Fitbit charge 3 and the only way to do so is through the Fitbit app on your phone/tablet? That wouldn’t make any sense at all and would be totally inconvenient. I thought the charge 3 was an upgrade to the blaze but if you can’t even do something as simple as set an alarm on the device, that takes away being able to utilize the alarms feature at all with any convenience. Didn’t the charge 3 come out after the blaze? How inconvenient would it be to have to set your alarm on your phone (I have a Samsung galaxy S5 running android 4.4.2) or tablet (I have an iPad Air 2, with iOS version 13.3) each night before bed, or when your out and about and then have to sync it each time (which sometimes takes up to 10 mins with a WiFi connection) and have no ability to set or change it on the actual device...There are certain times when you need to set an alarm on your Fitbit device when you don’t have immediate access to the app on your phone or tablet like when your traveling or for example, your already using your phone for google maps for directions while driving. Every Fitbit device I’ve ever had (charge, charge 2 & blaze) from the very first models, you could set the alarm on the device, If this is the case my charge 3 will be on its way back for a refund. Thanks for your help.

Hi @1catfan  alarms can be set on the device for the Ionic and Versa. Your Charge 3 must be done by the app (click for directions) and your device is an upgrade of the Charge 2. The Blaze was replaced by the Versa series. There is more information on the Charge 3 here - click - and you already know where to find the forums, which is why they're here.

This has been a feature request for Charge 3 since day 1. Unfortunately fitbit has no plan to implement this feature.

@asiayeah: Can you tell me where to go to vote for Fitbit to implement this feature request or better yet, if you can provide a direct link that would be great? Also, how do you get moderators to reply? I’ve sent a couple messages to @LuciaFitbit moderator and have yet to receive a reply in regards to this issue. Thanks

@1catfan I'm afraid moderators usually won't reply more if they don't have the answer.

Usually in this situation, they would end the conversation by directing you to the Feature Suggestion forum and then remind you to keep updating your Fitbit app and Fitbit device only. That's how far they can go.
