Problems with app since last update a few weeks ago

I had been very happy with my Charge 2 until the most recent update of the app.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.  Since the update I am having several issues, though none of them seem consistent.

* Days Exercise doesn't always update.  For example Monday I worked out hard for 45 minutes and it didn't give me any credit and yet yesterday I went for a 15 minute walk and I got credit.

* Adding Food to my log doesn't work properly.  There are times when I try to search a food and it locks up the app.  I have to completely close the app and go back, sometimes a few times, before I am able to finish my search.  Additionally, it doesn't always add the food that I've selected to my meal and nutritional count.

There are other minor things I've noticed, but these are the big ones that drive me crazy.  I wish there was a way to undo the update.

Hello @bbox welcome to the Community Forums! It's a pleasure to assist you your concern.

Seems odd that you're experiencing such difficulties with your Fitbit app since the latest update, even more when you're using a Samsung Galaxy S8 which is a compatible device with our products and services. That being said, to better assist you with this situation can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Regarding the exercise situation, can you please let me know in which way you're tracking your activity? Directly from the exercise shortcuts on your Charge 2 or using our SmartTrack feature? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Fitbit device.

Regarding the food logs, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that your Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit on your Samsung Galaxy S8.
  6. Try again to log food in your account,

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.
