Quality: Charge 4 broken band connector again!

Has anyone else noticed the terrible quality of the actual hardware over the past two years?
Bit of back story I’ve been using Fitbit ever since my husband bought me my first one in 2015, the charge hr which lasted me a very long time. Like almost 3 years long and no issues. Then had a charge 2 up until last year. After that died I bought an inspire hr (I was in school and needed something cheaper and waterproof) within 1 month the vibrate on it died. I use my Fitbit for alerts for phone calls only (not texts) so I contacted support and they offered to give me money towards a new one or replace the old one. I decided to spend a bit more and get the charge 4. Well the connector band broke on it less than a month after having it while I was out on a walk. Like crumbled apart for no reason. It also had issues tracking my heart rate and sleep from the day I got it. (Yes I know how to properly wear it) So I Contacted support again. They sent me a replacement which I’ve had since May (7 months?) and not only did the vibrate die on it a month after I got it now the entire connector band has broken as well. I’ve been thinking of just switching to Apple Watch or whoop because this is getting ridiculous. I’ve had 2 friends switch to Apple Watches already because they experienced the same.  I haven’t even bothered to try to get a replacement for my replacement because it is such a hassle. Anyone else having the exact same issues with Fitbit quality? For now I’m going to try and epoxy it together….it’ll probably hold together better than shelling out more money on a cheaply made (expensive) new Fitbit.

You may want to try third party bands.

p/s Fitbit probably won’t like my suggestion 😂. Hope they don’t delete this post. Just trying to be helpful.

I don't mind buying Fitbit bands. Mine is Charge 4. The trouble is the hard rubber to attach the band  has deteriorated and it broke into pieces so I can't attach the band. Didn't expect this. Very heart broken. I think the metal catch in Charge 2 is better. No more Fit bit for me.

It’s not the band it’s the piece attaching into the band from the actual Fitbit that has broken again. The band won’t stay attached to it. My god if I could just replace it with a band from Amazon I would LOL

THIS!!! This is what happened TWICE now with the charge 4. It literally crumbled into pieces the first time the second time now the band won’t stay connected to the Fitbit. Tried using a brand new wrist band that didn’t work now we epoxy and hope for the best since I paid a lot of money for the initial charge 4 less than a year ago.

There are protective bands on anazon that fit the charge 4.  Look up GOSETH. About $12 and you can still use your tracker

Yes for sure why can’t they make a band that lasts more than a year. Ridiculous considering the cost of the Fitbit and the cost of replacement bands!
