Re: Replacing and re-adding Fitbit charge 2 to Fitbit app.

 My question is I already have a Fitbit charge 2 connected to my app, it recently stopped working and I ordered a new Fitbit charge 2.  So my question is how do I go about connecting my new Fitbit to the app once I receive it? Do I need to delete the Fitbit I already have on there and add the new one, or do I just add the new one as a replacement for the old one on the app?

No I will not be using this one the screen is froze but I don’t want to lose any of my saved data or badges.

No I will not be using this charge 2 anymore once the new one arrives. The screen on my current is froze up, I did order the exact same Fitbit and so that’s why I’m asking how to go about setting it up once it arrives. Should I delete the one I have on now and add new one or do I just click on replace charge 2 with new charge 2?

@Msgrumpy  just use those directions and set up a new device on an existing account and your history will be retained.

I’ve read the threads you sent, and I will follow those directions I just have one more question, after setting up new device as “replacement” will I have to delete the other?

Okay so I will remove the old device and add and set up the new one once it arrives. Just wasn’t sure if I’d lose any progress/badges/ meals logged by doing it this way. I think I got all the info I need now. Thank you so much for your time.
