Was given a hand me down Charge 2, did a basic reset and the prior owner deleted the device from their profile.
Whenever she gets a text though, it's still coming to this device.
How do I make that stop?

Edit: No a reset didn't fix the issue.

Goodness, this was absolutely one of the worst simple problems I think that I have ever run into.
I must have fully R&R-ed the app, and rebooted the device 4 times, hit restart on the Bluetooth umpteen times, checked my settings repeatedly, searched hundreds of posts online.
Absolutely nothing made any sense and was completely random/intermittent.
My brain was drained and I was ready to give my coworker back her Charge 2 and tell her that it wasn't worth the stress.
Back story:
My coworker upgraded from her C-2 to a Versa, my 4 year old C-HR was on death's door and probably would not have survived another week, it was literally falling apart and held together with tape.
She handed me down her old device and removed it from her app.
What was happening, we finally realized while sitting in her office, trying to search more forums,
was that she did not remove it from her phone's Bluetooth connection.
All this time, the intermittent texts that I was receiving meant for her, my inability to keep synced to my phone, my randomly not receiving notification both by text or phone, sometimes both, but not always,
was all due to the fact that it would re-sync to her phone every time I tried to do anything on either the phone or device or change my settings, all my frustration, all of it...
Was fixed by her un-pairing the device from her phone.
Now though, it all makes perfect sense, SMDH!
