My reminders to move have not been working since the latest update. I've tried toggling on and off, disconnecting and reconnecting. Getting a bit frustrated as it's been over 2 weeks now.

I have done everything listed in this thread and mine is still not giving notifications to move 😞 it was fine yesterday, but no notifications today.

Another possible solution
I was in the same boat as most, move reminders just decided to stop working last week. I tried all of the discussed solutions multiple times with no success. Last night, I changed the hours for move reminders, adding a couple more to my day. Seems to have woken up the reminder, working as expected now.

3. Follow the tips mentioned here for ways that you can improve the accuracy of your Charge 2's heart rate readings.
This should help with receiving RTM notifications.
1. Useless advice. Everybody has already done this (and more) multiple times before even commenting.
2. This of course did not work because it makes no sense: how is a RTM firmware bug related to heart rate detection? They have nothing to do with each other.
3. Again: useless, for the same reason #2 is useless and senseless.
I know you're just trying to be helpful, but this is not helping and we're not idiots.

I'm also very frustrated with this as they haven't found a solution yet to fix the bug. Have sent and received emails from the support, but any of their suggestions have worked so far. Very frustrating as before the update the reminders to move were working fine...

I've noticed mine hasn't been working either. With reminders to move or incoming text messages. I've tried turning the notifications off and on, on the device itself but still haven't gotten anything yet. I'll probably contact customer support to see if they have any other insight. Glad I'm not the only person who has been experiencing this problem!

I haven't noticed the problem in over a week now. I think I may have been accidently disabling notifications when putting the charger on the watch. Its pretty easy to unknowingly disable the notifications if the clamp on the charger doesn't get perfectly aligned, since when this happens the clamp actually presses down on the button, causing the notifications to toggle.

I actually contacted Fitbit and they walked me through a bunch of steps but nothing is still working. I'm currently waiting for someone else to contact me via email.

HI guys
I am having the same issue hasn't worked since I purchased it.
however I don't like to have my heart rate monitor on all the time. I prefer to just turn it on whenever I am doing a workout. I've noticed some people saying reminder so to move only work if your heart rate monitor is set to auto.
can you only use reminders to move If you constantly have your heart rate being read? I can't understand why that would make a difference seeing the Alta hasn't got a heart rate monitor but the reminders to move work fine!

I'm not sure why they would tell us that, because I don't even know if it even pertains to the cause of it? After disconnecting the device from my phone a few times I did end up getting the notifications back on

This worked for me (as updated in my earlier post), and I used the same fix for a buddy at work! He accidentally turned off his notifications by holding the button down too long.

Spent the evening on Fitbit chat
was put through to a charge 2 specialist who reset the tracker and told me it would work fine now and low and behold it has come to 10 to the hour and I've done under 250 steps and NOTHING! No reminder to move.
Not happy at all how can they advertise a feature that doesn't work. The whole reason I purchase so the device was so it reminded me to not be sedentary whilst at work!
Any other suggestions?

Hi, I posted earlier and giving an update: I agree that the "notifications on/off" button is v sensitive, so checking regularly that you have "notifications on" definitely helps. BUT my tracker is still inconsistent with the notifications to move. Oddly, it seems to work OK in the mornings, but struggles in the post-lunch hours (when I need it the most!!), then seems to correct again in the evenings. Basically inconsistent, no matter the settings, so appears to be a glitch. Fingers crossed the FitBit people fix it on the next update. Thanks everyone for the posts, I've found it oddly reassuring to know it's not just me having problems : )

I just tried this and found that my notifications were turned off. I did not realize this but now it should work. Thanks for the info, but why was it turned off with the update?

That's what's happening to mine. It started the day before yesterday. All notifications had stopped, I did all the fiddling recommended in the thread and they came back. In thinking about it, I also charged it the day before yesterday. I'm wondering if we try restarting after every charge would do something.
