Repeated step goal celebration on Charge 4

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have set 10,000 steps as my daily goal. I get vibration and screen notifications on my tracker multiple times at random intervals after achieving the steps. For example I just received another notification yet my steps are at 12,712.

How do I stop this?

Hi @sgreenstonenj. It's good to see you around.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. While this is odd, do you recall if the celebration was for the hourly goal activity? As you may know, your Charge 4 has reminders to move to alert 10 minutes before the hour if you've not walked 250 steps and once you've done it, it'll vibrate to indicate you've reached out your goal.

If this doesn't apply to you and your Charge 4 keeps receiving 10,000 steps celebration, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Remove your Charge 4 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Restart your tracker to refresh its performance.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  4. On your tracker, press and hold the button, swipe left to access the quick settings and turn on/off the DND and Sleep Mode settings.
  5. Keep using your Charge 4 as you normally do and monitor its behavior.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, interestingly this issue doesnt happen every day either, weird. Its not the hourly thing cause I dont have that enabled.

The steps you mention seem a bit overkill, but I will take them into advisement

Hi @sgreenstonenj. I hope you're doing well.

You're welcome. Thanks to you for getting back with more details and please keep an eye to your Charge 4 to see how it behaves in the next days. If by any chance the issue persists, feel free to let me know so I can investigate on my end and help you out.

Have a good day! 😊
