Replacement bands for disabled users ? metallic straps or alternatives ?

Hi everyone !

I recently got as present a Charge 2. It's my first smart-band, I never wore smart watches before, as I have issues operating them anyway.

I have issues putting the band on / taking the band off because of the way in which the default strap is locking (I tried to swap the band on the strap but it doesn't help to have the clasp locking reversed, I have issues anyway).

I am looking into purchasing a metal strap (magnetic), but I am a bit reluctant when it comes to how well the magnet / metallic strap will hold the band tight on my arm. I like the heart rate and sleep monitoring functions, and I do not want to lose them due to a loose strap.

To those of you wearing metallic straps for your bands, did you have any heart rate monitoring issues ? does the band still stay rightly positioned on your wrists ?

Thanks!

Hey @AppleTosh, welcome aboard! To be honest with you, I have never wear a magnetic band, although I have seen very cool and secure models, I can't tell you that your heart rate results won't change 'cause maybe it won't fit as well as an original band. However you can give it a try. As I mentioned, I've seen some magnetic bands on Amazon, just keep in mind that they are not covered under Fitbit warranty.

Keep me posted!
