Resting heart beat increase on Charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Today my resting heart beat is 84, a matter of weeks ago it was 68.

i have been diagnosed with a viral infection making me feel quite poorly.

Could this be a reason for my elevated resting heart beat?

@Gazza60 A warm welcome to our Community!

Let me help you with your increase heart rate reading. There are many factors that can contribute to an increase in heart rate reading. Caffeinated beverages or lack of sleep are a couple of examples. Also illnesses can cause this too so that something to take into consideration. While all these factors could have affected you if you wish to have a proper explanation you will need to consult your doctor for an informed analysis.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes - your resting heart rate will go up when your body is fighting off an infection or similar. Mine is usually about 64 but goes up to 70 or more if I'm the least bit unwell. It would be worth mentioning it to your doctor but, in my experience, they aren't usually very interested.
