I alway thought that RHR was just calculated upon awakening, but I’ve been noticing lately that sometimes it changes during the day. Today I woke up, my RHR was 64, in the afternoon I had a long lunch with a small glass of beer, later on my RHR went up to 65! So I guess it gets calculated when I am inactive, not just at night! That really shows how sitting on my butt and eating a good sized meal can affect my heart.
Thoughts? Comments? Am I getting this right?
The forum helped me get to this point. Thx

Fitbit does not reveal how it calculates RHR. It does not follow the "standard" that RHR is your early morning rate. I takes all day into account.
But that does not affect its value looking at trends.
ETA: It is also common to see heart rates below Fitbit's RHR.
