I have a 4-year Fitbit history of my resting heart rate. My average fluctuates in the mid 70's. However, every year in December and January my resting heart rate climbs up to 90 then gradually goes back down to the 70's. Any explanation for the annual spike? in RHR?

@jsimon49 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!
Thank you for your inquiry about your RHR increasing at the end of the year. This is something that you should consult with your doctor. Still some factors that could affect your heart rate are an increase in consumption of caffeinated or alcoholic beverages. Less sleep due to the different social events during the holidays. Also eating could affect your sleep cycle thus leading to an increase in the resting heart rate.
Let me know how it goes.
