Road biking and editing distance

I bought my Fitbit Charge HR yesterday, and tried tracking my road biking to work manually today, but Fitbit recognized it as a workout. I managed to edit the activity to Bike. How do I edit the distance? Fitbit claims that I have biked 2.93 km, but I actually biked 19.8 km.

Hi,

There's an article here that should be able to help you out explaining how to manually log your activities: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-do-I-log-or-record-an-activity/?l=en_US&c=To...

It can be a little confusing at first, hope this helps!! 🙂

Please don't forget to mark as a solution and/or vote up (thumbs up) if this post helped out, had you in agreement, or got you to smile.. 🙂

Got to write that this seems far from solved.

How on Earth can we not edit miles after the fact? What a terrible design flaw.

Old post but I ran into this today. I started my exercise when I started riding, but my Charge 2 didn't pick it up until 4 miles into my ride. And now I can't edit it? stupid. I can log a ride manually but I can manually update a ride that I did. Makes perfect sense..???

I'm selling this and buying a Samsung or something. This is the second chance I gave fitbit and it was a waste.

I completely agree. I have a computer on my bike. Today, for example, the computer logged 13.8 miles but the Ionic logged only 10.8 miles. The map, however, was correctly drawn.

I've noticed on overcast days, when I look at the Ioninc it, displays "...searching" instead of the miles. I can understand the GPS not easily finding the satellites on a cloudy day but not on a clear one.

At any rate it is necessary to be able to edit the distance so the log is correct.
