Hi, I’m new to this community and had only started using Charge 3 to track for my workouts since a week ago. I’ve been doing similar aerobic workouts for the last 5 days and the stats registered seemed legit but the figure for calories burned today seemed off. For example, (my last few workouts) for a 29 min workout with average bpm of 125, I’ve burned 158 calories (it showed 14 mins cardio and then 14 mins fat burned). But for today, it registered a 27 min workout with average bpm of 120 and I’ve only burned 22 calories (it showed 10 mins cardio and 16 mins fat burn).
I'm very much confused on how the calories are being calculated. Could it be inaccurate?
I also do not know how to manually start tracking the aerobic workout since it does not have the function on the tracker. I relied on the auto tracking functions.
Appreciate your kind advice please.
Thank you.

On the Fitbit app you can change the exercises which are on the watch. From the main page click the button in the top left corner, and click on the watch which you’re phone is connected too. Then click on exercises I think it is off the top of my head and you can add and remove different exercises so the ones which you use frequently are there. Even if you just use the workout exercise it works a lot better. Then when you start exercising make sure you click on it every time as the watch only starts to automatically track the exercise after the first 10/15 mins I believe and you can also change this

So it probably differs as you are waiting for the Fitbit to track your workout. With the charge 3 if you swipe across on the watch and then click on exercise you can click on a certain activity or just “workout” and then start your exercise and then stop it once you’ve finished and this normally tracks my calories quite well. It’s also important to remember that the calories will change depending on how hard you’ve worked each session so if you haven’t worked as hard getting a higher heart rate it won’t calculate a high calorie burn. You can change the exercise on the watch as well under settings on the Fitbit app so the regular types of exercise you do you can track.
hope this helps

Hi, thanks for your advice. I tried to manually start the tracking but there is no aerobic workout for selection on the watch. The only available ones are run, bike, swim, treadmill, weights and walk. So I relied on the auto tracking. I am in good form during that workout but it turns out the curve is flat (for calories burned). Pretty sure somehow something is not right because I only burned 22 calories for a 27 mins workout it is as good as not doing any workout.
I need to explore more on the functions as I’m still new to this. Hope to learn more from this community out there. 😊

Hi AlishaBess, thank you very much for your clear instructions. I managed to update the list of workouts which I want to appear on my tracker. I will start manually track my workouts from tomorrow onwards. Yay!! Thank you very much for the advice. 😊
