Got the Charge 3 this am. Update went fine and everything seems great.. Steps and heart rate are on track and I have mine to sync all the time so its pretty up to date the app.
When showing it off at the end of the day it suddenly said I was asleep from 9:15am to 2:20pm. Now I do work a desk job, but I did 5000 counted steps in that time.
Glitch? For now I deleted it but thats a pretty big ???

@jenkh Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to report the situation you are experiencing with your tracker thinking you are asleep but counting steps at the same time.
This is very strange! Has this happened to you once again? If you keep experiencing this; try performing a restart on your Charge 3. That should certainly help you out with this.
.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

I have this problem with the Charge 3 too. Today it said I was in deep sleep from 12:39 pm to 1:49 pm when I was doing strenuous yard work. I checked my heart rate and it was in the fat burn zone. And this is the 2nd time today - the first was a recorded deep sleep for the first hour after I first got up. Several times in the past it "discovered" I'm awake when it syncs (manual sync) and that's when the sleep period ends.

The false step counting issue with Charge 3 is real. It needs to be fixed, and we are all waiting for Fitbit to fix it.

I just cooked breakfast and new Charge 3 thinks I was asleep. My Charge 2 never did that!
