I have the same problem. My Charge 3 is not in sleep mode. The setting is at Normal. I've tried Auto as well. The screen remains dim and is difficult to see indoors/outdoors.

I checked the sleep mode. I followed your instructions. I regret to say it did not resolve the problem. The screen still appears dim.

Same. I can’t even see the clockface and have to go in a dark room, wait for my eyes to adjust just to try to navigate through settings-

My Charge 3 wasn't in sleep mode. What's interesting is that if I do put it in sleep mode and then go to the Brightness setting and change it to Normal, it gets much brighter. However, then the Screen Wake feature doesn't work....sigh. I took it back out of Sleep Mode, which made it dimmer despite the Brightness setting being on Normal.
I think after almost six years I'm done with Fitbit and am looking elsewhere. I've only had this Charge 3 for a little over two years. If it's a bad firmware update, then it should have been fixed by now. If it's just crappy hardware and "planned obsolescence" forcing us to buy a new Fitbit every couple of years, I'm hopping off this train and going with another company. It's too bad because I really love the app and the community.
