The Screen letters line are broken not firm or strong like before. The same when plugged in and even at 98%.

Like the word 'sleep' is broken half way up. The botton half is okay altho still not strong.

Not sure how to reset it.

@bubsuelee , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your message.

To restart the Charge 4, please plug it into the charging cable and this to a power source (PC, wall socket)

Hold the button for 8 seconds, and release it. You'll see a smiley and the Charge 4 will vibrate and restart.

Hope it helps.

Did that, but the writing still has lines through it.

I Rebooted it and it is the same.  I notice when I move the screen up, the screen writing goes up under like a wire screen, which make the writing look broken.

I would contact fitbit, and send photos

You have reached the limit of what we can suggest.

Second time this has happened to me, both times about 12 months after getting it - coincidentally about the end of the guarantee.  First time fitbit replaced it free as I had a week of guarantee left.  This time its out of time so I am ditching fitbit as this is third time they have broken in a short time (another just wouldn’t turn on).  Just an unreliable product.

Same with me, I'm at around 20 months - before it got like this it was getting dimmer. Just waiting out the last of my membership using it as a 'dumb' tracker looking at info on phone. Even a cheap watch should last 3-5 years, so I will not be a repeat customer unless they offer a better guarantee and even then I'm not that keen.

Thanks, I was doubtful given that the warranty had run out - I'm happy that Support have offered a replacement or 50% off Charge 5. So despite what some say give it a go, you have to go through Troubleshooting which is a bit grandma sucking eggs but not too long.

Thanks for the offer, but 3 watches in 3 years means even a free replacement isn’t going to do it for me this time.  With a premium subscription as well to get better features it’s better value to look for something that lasts.

good luck all
