I got my charge 3 a week ago and at some point today the screen stopped lighting up when I turn my wrist. I haven't changed any settings and I'm turning my wrist in the exact same way as I was before so I'm not sure what the problem is.

This has become an issue again after firmware release 1.88.11. The new ‘don’t disturb’ option doesn’t allow to manage the Charge 3 to wake up when turning your wrist?

Solved with the help of another Fitbit user. When opening the menu holding the button, you have to scroll down to enable the feature ‘Rise to wake’. The menu will open DND and Sleep, but By scrolling down you can manage waking up the screen.

Thank you, I have spent hours trying to figure this out. I was ready to buy an Apple Watch but you helped me and now it’s working!

Hi Jannypops, if you swipe right to left on your normal screen several times it'll go to a "Settings" option, in there is a brightness option; it's probably set to dim. Mine did that yesterday for some reason. You've probably worked this out by now, but it may help someone else. Wish they'd put all the settings type stuff in the same place!

Make sure your FitBit isn’t in sleep mode.
Go to Settings > Sleep Mode > Sleep Mode Off

Open your Fitbit's Quick Settings, tap the screen wake icon (which looks like a watch) and change your Fitbit's screen wake option to Automatic, so every time you lift your wrist to look at your Fitbit, it automatically turns on.
Hope this helps

In the quick settings screen, tap the screen wake icon to adjust the setting. When you set Screen Wake to Auto (Motion), the screen turns on each time you turn your wrist. When you set Screen Wake to Manual (Button), press the button to turn on the screen.
