Screen not working after dog "borrowed" it

A while back I accidentally left my fitbit on a table where my mom's new puppy got a hold of it. It doesn't look chewed up, but the screen no longer lights up. It did seem to still charge and track my steps, but now I am having trouble syncing with my phone. I eventually want a new one, but don't want to buy from amazon or anyone else. I want one that tracks hr, but all the newer versions are not allowed in my work. I work in a correctional facility. Fitbit, can you please consider bringing back the charge hr? The screen is small enough and you really can't get much regarding phone notifications on it. With the newer versions there is an improved capability of phone notifications - most correctional facilities will not allow you to wear them at work. I bet a lot of people in my same type of situation would appreciate it! Is there anyone out there in the community that can relate? I have looked at other options, but all the similar fitness trackers either don't have a hr tracker or they don't have a watch (I really miss my watch now that the screen no longer works.)

I think someone had the Inspire HR approved, but when I look at it online it shows you can get phone notifications. So I am not wanting to try it and have it denied later. I am not wanting to start asking questions and then get it denied for the other staff person. I am going to check again on the fitbit site. It would be cool if all of their trackers had versions without the possibility of phone notifications.

Excuse me asking but why does your employer have issue with your Fitbit telling you that you have a phone call? If they allow you to have a phone (turned on) then what's the problem with a simple message from the app? It's not like you can talk on it to anyone. Do later Fitbits do more clever things? (I've got an old Charge HR that I bring out from time to time).

Dog borrowed it - LOL.
