Separate the way active minutes are registered

Apparently for active minutes to count as exercise you have to complete them in the same timeframe as the “Time to get moving”. They should be separate.  I sometimes don’t finish the 30 minutes till later in the day.

Twice I have had over an hour of active minutes but not been given credit
for the exercise. Did some digging and that appeared to be the reason.

According to your information, it seems that your exercises are not getting always recorded. If this is the case, please let me know to move this thread to the correct board and obtain further assistance.

There is two different ways to track your activities, either automatically through SmartTrack or manually. For more information, please visit the article How do I track exercise and activity with my Fitbit device?

 

If you are having difficulties tracking your exercises automatically, please make sure that your activity settings are correct. You can find this information if you go to the online Dashboard at fitbit.com > Settings > Devices > Auto-Exercise Recognition.

 

If the problem is when you start the activity manually, please provide me with the following information:

 

- Are you activities recorded with GPS?

- Is your phone part of the list of compatible devices?

- Do you receive any error during the process?

 

If you haven't done it already, you can perform a restart by following the steps on the article How do I restart my Fitbit device?
