Serious hollow on my wrist caused by wearing Fitbit Charge

Hello, I have been wearing my Fitbit Charge HR since November. I love it, but I am concerned that I know have some serious wasting/indentation/hollow on the upper side of my wrist. I do not wear it too tight - it has to be tight enough to record my heart rate. I do not wear it at night, so it is only during the day, and it is on my non-dominant hand. I have removed it now, and reluctant to put it back on.

Would this be grounds for a refund, since I really don't want to continue to wear it.

That's exactly what happened 😧 it's been getting better. Slowly. Still weird feeling. I just use my Fitbit when working out now. Honestly it's probably better for my mental health. That way I'm not focusing on how many calories I burn. I just really adore the gps feature for my runs! Helps me keep pace!

I don't know where you get that you should be able to put 2 fingers under the band when it's on. There were no instructions like that with my Charge HR, either in the included info or on the website when I was checking to see what size to get

My indentation goes away. My problem is the discoloration I have where the buckle is. Any suggestions?

I have this same issue. This is very concerning, especially the fact that Fitbit does not seem interested in commenting on the issue or resolving it, other than to give a refund after you go through hoops to get it.

My indentation goes all the way around my wrist. I'm glad that a dermatologist father chimed in because I was beginning to think I was building muscle around it or something. I'm switching over to my nondominant arm for a while but it sounds like it could take 1year+ to correct itself? 😒 Oh well! I've lost 10 lbs from calorie tracking so I'll put up with a funky looking wrist if I have to 😂

Mine was never worn tightly. It was loose enough to move around.

I have the same and now I have stopped wearing it because I have a darker indentation that doesn't go away where the HR bulge is.

I will try to ask for an (at least partial) refund, they should have thought about skin damage before making that huge bulge..

Thank you! Yes, I did send that too after reading your story 😉 Thanks!

Did you put anything on your indentation to make it heal faster or just time?

I wanted to try Vitamin E or Castor Oil which naturally help scars... Fingers crossed and good luck to all XX

Why not just alternate wrists? What's more important your health or a slight fat deposit distribution on your wrist? Alternate wrists every other day? Keep it loose enough to get a reading but not so loose where it's halfway towards your Palm. Am I the only one who sees it this way? I discovered the same thing on my wrist so I'm deciding to switch arms. Is the vanity of a wrist so much more valuable than knowing if your Healthy? Sigh. I'm confused.

I bet if you Massage it well for like 10 minutes a day for a couple days or a week and apply a good moisturizer it will bounce back. The skin and  body are resilient. I've had it off for two hours now and it already looks better.

They are wearing it too tight and they don't want to admit it. Give me a break

Believe me, I did not wear it tight and it took months to disappear. This happened years ago and all good now. I have a new Fitbit 3.

Thanks for your response. Everyone I mention this to just blows itoff like it's something I must be doing wrong.I just got an Inspire Fitbit mainly because it's waterproof. It ismore bracelet like and barely touches my wrist. It will beinteresting to see what happens.

This happens even if the Fitbit is so loose you can get a finger under it.Enjoy yourself.

Vanity has nothing to do with it.I you are wearing anything that causes a noticeableimpression in your body, it is cause for alarm.I was searching to see if there was any research about it possibly being a health factor.
