Hello, I have been wearing my Fitbit Charge HR since November. I love it, but I am concerned that I know have some serious wasting/indentation/hollow on the upper side of my wrist. I do not wear it too tight - it has to be tight enough to record my heart rate. I do not wear it at night, so it is only during the day, and it is on my non-dominant hand. I have removed it now, and reluctant to put it back on.
Would this be grounds for a refund, since I really don't want to continue to wear it.

Hey Angie, I know this is an old thread but I am having what I think to be this problem too and it's freaking me out! Do you still have pictures from what you experienced? I am curious to see if it's the same thing. I would really really appreciate it!

Darn it. It’s really worrying me. I’ve been wearing it for a couple years already and really never noticed until yesterday because I’m always wearing it! Is there a message I can send you? I can’t seem to find how to do that. Haha

I really hope mine improves. It’s really bothering me and kind of frustrated about it since it’s used to track my sleep and heart rate daily throughout the years.

I also have a serious hollow on my wrist caused by wearing the Fitbit Pulse. It is a permanent deformity,
as I have not worn the Pulse since 2017.

Please ask your Dad how long that will be. Mine has been indented for over two years.

Same with me, Sunset Runner. I don't think it will ever go away if it hasn't in two+ years.

You were lucky, Sunset Runner.

I can get a finger under mine. It is literally dangling. If they can manufactor a body suit, I'm in.

Yes, I have definitely stopped wearing my Fitbit after about 6 months. My wrist looks deformed and after a week of non use, the indentation is still there. It actually looks like the muscle and/or bone tissue has disappeared. Scary!

I came on to do research because I’m having the same problem. Just today I decided to flip the Fitbit upside down and see if it’s any better if it’s on the underside of my wrist. It’s still tracks my heart rate. The indentation is annoying though.

My wrist tissue is terribly atrophied from wearing the Fitbit blaze for the last 2-3 years. I thought maybe it was just indentation from wearing at night but I have clear tissue volume lost just in the area of the wrist where the device and the band sits even when it’s been left off quite a while. I can feel my tendons as well as the distal parts of my radius and ulna much more easily on that wrist and again only in the area where the tracker was worn (not the entire length of my forearm) and the damage is on both sides. Regretfully I should have stopped wearing it a long time ago. I hope the tissue regenerates and I plan to never wear it again.
Wondering how many other people have experienced this same drastic and concerning side effect ....
