Set up Charge 3 on child account

My 12 year old daughter wants to use my old charge 3 as the strap has broken on her ace. When trying to set up an account it says she isn't old enough & to add to the family account but there is no option to add a charge 3 it's only the ace & ace 2. Is there any way to add the charge3?

1) You could just get a new strap  for the Ace.  The strap for the original Ace is the same as for the Alta and Alta HR.  In addition to the Fitbit Store here, Amazon sells a wide variety of third-party straps at very reasonable prices, including sets of different colors if she would like to have different looks.

If you are satisfied with the Ace and the family account set-up, this is the simplest solution, and not very expensive.

2) The Ace and Ace 2 are the only ones that can be used in family account.  Some disagree with that choice, but that's the way it is.

3) When she reaches 13, at least in U.S. (or if you figured any way around it), she could have her own account, but that brings up other issues, such as if she has a smart phone or if there is any other sync device, to sync with, and it would not be as simple for you to have access to all her data.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
