Silent alarm for Charge 4

My new charge 4 arrived today and I can’t locate silent alarms. I sync with an iPhone 6.

My previous Fitbit was an Inspire HR which had it.

Loving the Charge 4, more comfortable for me and a bit easier to read when outside

thanks, saw the how question after ...    This was more of a WHY —- would fitbit downgrade a new device by shutting down app functionality.  had i known, would not have purchased.  really disappointed... to go backwards.  Bad decision unless their objective was to create a negative experience

TOTALLY agree!  Please allow setting of alarms from app for Charge 4. I hate having to set the alarm on the Charge 4 EVERY day. It was SO much easier to set the recurring alarm in the app itself. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Hi! I still don’t understand how to set the alarm ON the tracker. I can’t get it to move off of pm, nor can I delete these I have now accidentally set. I jumped from the 2 to the 4 after my 2 just quit syncing altogether. I’m getting frustrated with this new one already. I can’t find a step-by-step tutorial on how to do ANYTHING with this thing!!! Could you PLEASE help me with info on how to set up multiple alarms and to delete unwanted ones? Ugh...I KNEW I should e just switched to the Apple Watch! Still might. This is aggravating!!!! Thanks!

Best Answer
you should be able to navigate to the alarm and then touch it on the face
of your fitbit to turn it off again.
i wish it could still be done via the app - so much easier
Best Answer

thanks. Yes, via the app is 100x easier to manage. Now I rarely use that feature at all and that’s unfortunate

If you click on the alarm you want to cancel and scroll down you will see a
bin icon. Touch that to dele and the tick to confirm. To set an alarm,
press on plus, scroll up or down until hour is highlighted then tap, do
same for minutes then it gives you the option to tap on either am or pm.
Hope this helps. I had a 3 before my 4 and much easier to set on the app as
you could with the 3.--

How many (loyal) people using Fitbit have to STOP what they’re doing and take the time to voice their dissatisfaction with a CHANGE that was made — a change that makes the experience WORSE than previous versions, before Fitbit pivots???  BRING BACK THE ALARM SETTING FUNCTION ON THE APP.  it’s not complicated.   If ever there was a glaring reason to switch over to the Apple watch —- THIS is it.

Best Answer

Has Fitbit responded to whether they will be bringing back the alarm function on the App?

My charge 3 screen is gone.. so cannot set the alarm on the device. I am debating between the charge4 or the Apple Watch (I don’t like the bulk of the iWatch)... but losing out on the alarm is a dealbreaker.

Has Fitbit given an official response on their position? I would want to purchase the new device with the current sale offers.

No response from Fitbit. Assume they are putting the Charge 4 on such a good sale because they are trying to get rid of them. I really want to stick with Fitbit but get more and more frustrated with the alarm all the time.

they haven’t ... they don’t get it. I don’t think the people making the decisions actually use the fitbit, otherwise they would understand why the feature needs to be part of the app. I never use the alarm now w the Charge 4 and used to use it all the time w previous models — in fact was the primary reason I bought it!!!

No they haven’t responded and nothing has changed. It is disappointing but
I’m used to doing on the Fitbit now. I too don’t like the size of the Apple
Watch. It’s huge and ugly as a ladies watch!--

User named LilyaFitbit edited a lot of messages in this thread, but still no official response. That's very unprofessional.

I got charge 4 today to replace charge 2 and was very disappointed by no alarm settings in the app. I'm going to return it tomorrow, is there a good alternative to charge 4?

Best Answer

nope.  no alternative other than apple watch.  huge miss by fitbit.   i just stopped using alarms.  meanwhile that was the entire reason i kept using it besides the steps... REALLY frustrating — especially since adding to the app is not a huge effort from a software perspective

i also bought the 4 and keep it on standby as i continue to use my Charge2.
buckle was hard for me to manipulate (did buy another band), i don't like
the alarm set up and am challenged when trying to find the button, or
whatever it's called but is flush, to illuminate the face or turn off the
vibration.

And support page still shows 3 options how to setup alarms - on device, on app, on web account. Last two options don't exist anymore? So, fix your support documentation if you can't fix the app

It is really difficult to set alarms on the fitbit. You aren’t able to see multiple alarms. I’m about ready to return my Fitbit over this.

I wish I would have read this thread prior to purchasing a charge 4.  The screen is to small to have all of the apps on the fitbit.  Add the silent alarms an an optional app.

Johnny is there any chance fitbit will be adding the silent alarms as an optional app??  It is really difficult to set multiple alarms on the charge 4.

Completely ridiculous that we can't access all our alarms on one screen in the app.  attempting to navigate between my 6 alarms, setting and days they trigger is a nightmare.  I thought the Charge 4 was supposed to be better than the Charge 2
