This is my 2nd Charge 2, had a replacement because of an issue with sleep tracking. Seems the issue is replicated.
I go to bed wearing the device, I am restless and wake up sometimes, but not for long periods. When I wake up properly, in the morning, I sync the device, the sleep tracker shows in 2 periods rather than one. So example, sleep monitored from 23:00 to 02:45, then from 04:00 to 07:30. So there's a period in the middle with no record. Just grey.
I reset the last device several times but they sent me new charge 2. This recorded correctly on the first night (as did original device) but last night the issue happened again. It's not a massive issue, and it may be how I sleep or the device is moving or too loose or something. £118 is a lot of money so it is annoying. Anyone else get any issues like this. Maybe I have to stay completely still and sleep like Sheldon. I can't do that 😛

@blazes, I believe part of your problem is that you force a sync when you wake up in the middle of the night. This act of forcing a sung means that you are awake, which Fitbit will assume.and mark the time as the end of sleep.
Tonight, don't force a sync in the middle of the night, but wait until you have men up and moving for at least 5 minutes before opening the app.

Cheers for the reply, dude. I don't sync in the night, I only sync in the morning after I wake up (Although it sounds like that in my initial post, I can't edit my bad description )
It looks like it thinks I am awake though...or dead. Haha. Last night I slept through, but it's still missing three hours.

customer service have been great, but getting refund as I think I may move too much - too restless in my sleep for this device to record fully. I tried wearing the charge 2 on my other arm and sleeping differently, trying to stay in one position...no chance of that working
Still hours of data missing in the middle like it thinks I'm awake or dead. It has to be me. I don't know. The sleep monitor was a big reason for parting with £118 on a glorified watch. Back to an app called Pillow. That's good, but no heart rate.

Just tried the monitor again last night, secured tighter on my wrist and trying to stay still. Sync in morning after 7. Still a grey, no-data gap. Curious in the sleep schedule graph, the 7:00 seems to be in the wrong place...

Don't worry people. I won't be posting any more on this issue. I've given up, fate is saying 'nope'.

This has been happening to me too. Can’t post pix tho because someone posted a “fix” that when implemented replaced data from latest readings on every day back to beginning. Yikes!

I have always had the same issue, but I have afib. This is a rapid heartbeat that can occur without you being aware of. I had to wear a 24 hour monitor to find this out. The Fitbit May be detecting your rapid heartbeat during sleep. Google afib.

I’m new to Fitbit, mine came Monday. I set it up Monday and started tracking my sleep Tuesday and Wednesday. The times I go to bed and get up seem to be right but I have 2 separate sections of sleep each night; both missing an hour between the segments.
Any help with with this would be greatly appreciated as i’m beginning to think I get up, run up flights of stairs and walk around the neighborhood based on my steps and flights of stairs 😊

Same problem here. Only happens about once a week or so. I had problem with Alta and now with Inspire. Seems to be a bug. Will Fitbit fix it?
