Sleep monitoring: Get rid of restless

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Greetings. I just looked over eight hours but I didn’t get any sleep stages again. Very frustrating. Also when it doesn’t show sleep stages, it shows something called “restless”. That is completely useless/misleading. Please get rid of it. Signed, Tired & Cranky.

@Quinnfit Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear that you aren't getting sleep stages. You might not get them for the following reasons:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Regarding the restless category on the standard sleep graph. You can share your suggestion in our Feature suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exist so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes!
