Hi,
As of about a week ago, my Fitbit has stopped tracking my sleep properly. It shows me falling asleep at hours after going to bed and only tracks around 4 hours but splits it into two segments.. Last night I went to bed at 10 and it shows me asleep from 12:15 to 3:36 and then from 4:41-6:44 am. I'm getting frustrated with this because it is one of the features I track.
Also, the last couple months my band keeps falling off. I've tried to adjust the metal clip numerous times with no luck. One of these days I am going to lose it and not even realize it until it's gone.
Help?

Hi,
I'm having the same problem with sleep tracking. Seems to have started about a month ago.
My Fitbit seems to miss early parts of my sleep routine. Last night, for example,I went to bed at 10:30, and was probably asleep around 11:00pm. I woke up at about 4:50 am and checked the time, then went back to sleep for about an hour. My Fitbit app only recorded my sleep from about 5am on, and shows that I slept for 57 minutes in total during the night. My heart rate over the night shows as having been below my resting heart rate most of the night. I have the latest software version on my Charge 2 and on my iOS app. I'm iOS 13.3 on my iPhone.
Any suggestions?

Hi @antwall, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that your sleep patterns are being tracked in such way. To move forward with this, can you please let me know if the steps from my previous post were already tried? Also, you can try a restart process and keep me posted.
Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. Yesterday I tried all suggestions that I came across, including 3 restarts of my Charge 2. I also tried tightening up the strap (although there are no gaps in my heart rate measurement chart). I also turned off Bluetooth on my iPhone and restarted that after booting the Fitbit app from memory. I got the full sleep recording last night, showing sleep score and different times for my sleep stages. Hopefully I've got the problem solved. I will post again in a couple of days if everything is OK.

The problem I was having continues, my Fitbit is recording my sleep correctly some nights and missing most. Friday night I went to bed around 9:30 and got out of bed around 5:30 Saturday morning. Fitbit displayed my sleep time as 4:am to 5:24 am, even after several syncs. I then went to try to adjust my sleep log manually, and the time showing on the adjustment screen was that my sleep began at 9:35 pm on Friday night. I tried to simply save that as the start time, but I got a message that said that a sleep log already existed for that time. I synced the Fitbit again then deleted the app and downloaded and re-installed. Will post how I do tonight.

I finally solved the issue I was having with sleep tracking. The problem was not with the app or the Charge 2. My sleep actually was as bad as the technology was reporting. I changed my eating and drinking habits and within 2 days everything returned to normal. Lesson learned!
