Software update on Charge 2 caused it to freeze with incorrect date and time

I have a Charge 2 and it worked wonderfully until Nov 1@ 7:23am. I did a software update at this time and when I tried to use it about 3 hrs later it was stuck on this time and date. It would still count my steps and vibrate when I had texts or calls. I tried to remove the device and it will not sync now and it is stuck on this date and time. I contacted Customer support 2 times and they could care less about the issue. Their software update broke my device. If anyone else has had this issue report it please! I am frustrated. All they did was offer me a discount on a new one. They do not even have the Charge 2 anymore. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your unresponsive Charge 2 and thank you for reaching out to our Support team. 

Support does follow the guidelines listed in the warranty so if your device is outside the warranty period they won't be able to replace it. This is why they offer a discount to help customers in this situation. Still thank you for sharing your feedback.

Good luck! After the last firmware update, it slaughtered a lot of charge 2's . Global reply from fitbit is to offer a discount on buying a new one. Lol

 

I'm on my third and last one. Waiting to see if a miracle does happen and they finally address the loyal charge 2 customers who still have theirs instead of trying to be forced to buy a new charge 3.
