Stairs are wildly inaccurate

My Charge 3 counts flights of stairs when there are none. Today, for instance, it’s claiming that I climbed 68 flights of stairs. I climbed 2. Is there any way to fix this? Yes, I’ve restarted my device and waited 48 hours to see if it fixed itself.

I sometimes have the opposite problem.  Yesterday I did 134 flights and it tracked only 101.
