Starting and Stopping Exercises on Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

On my Charge 2, I could get to the exercise I wanted to start, hold the button, start the timer. Single press pause, hold to stop.

Now I have to press start, and then Let's go. Now I must double press the button to get the finish icon on the screen and then press that. Why do I have to do so many more actions to start and stop exercises 😄

Where is this "side-button"? In the app? on the fitbit device?

On the left side of the device

It is not a "button" per se but an indented line that responds like a button to touch. Left side. Very responsive. Takes only a light quick press.

That is ridiculous indeed. Makes you wonder if the fitbit designers ever get out of their chairs themselves.

Too many steps, and each time several new Charge 3's are purchased, the same complaint  comes up.  Do they care?

Agreed. Having ‘Start’ then ‘Let’s go’ is a very frustrating user experience. I start a long walk and find the recording hasn’t started at the end of the exercise because I just pressed ‘Start’. Is there a technical reason for needing ‘Let’s go’ as well ?
Similar issue with ‘Start’ then ‘Connecting’ to phone for GPS tracking - why the need to press go once connected; can’t the recording begin automatically?

Do you tap the screen or the side?
